    Gather three numbers

New customers and ad spend per month for up to twelve months, plus your gross margin.

  2. 2

    Drop them in

Type them into the table, or let AI read your screenshots and hand you a filled-in link.

  3. 3

    Read your verdict

See instantly whether you're growing, slowing down, or just re-buying the same customers.

What you'll need, and where to get it

Three required numbers, plus one optional pair that unlocks your break-even and headroom.

Required

Ad spend per month

Fastest: in Google Ads, click Ads Advisor (top right) and ask, Show a table of monthly spend across all campaigns, all statuses, for the last 12 full months, broken down by month only, oldest to newest. Screenshot the table (on a Mac, press Command+Shift+4 and drag over it).

Or by hand: Campaigns, set the range to the last 12 months, segment by month, and read the Cost column.

Required

New customers per month

Fastest: in Shopify, open Sidekick (the “Ask anything” box) and ask, Pull a table of new customers by month for the last 12 months, starting from the 1st day of the oldest full month. Screenshot the table it gives you (on a Mac, press Command+Shift+4 and drag over it).

Or by hand: Analytics → Reports → Customers over time. Set the range to the last 12 months and group by month. Two months minimum.

Required

Gross margin %

Order value minus product cost, as a percent. Shopify's profit report, or estimate from your top sellers. This unlocks your break-even ROAS. Make a note of the value to type into the tool below.

Optional

12-month spend per customer + average first-order value

Shopify → Analytics → Reports → Customer cohort analysis (Sidekick can't pull the per-customer figures, so use the report). Set the metric to Amount spent per customer, then read the second row, your oldest cohort, not the All cohorts summary. In that row, month 0 is your average first-order value and the 12-month column is your 12-month spend per customer. Make a note of both values to type into the tool below.

Your numbers

Fill in the months you have, oldest at the top. Leave the rest blank. Two months is enough, twelve is the full picture.
